Bushnell 8x30 Image View Binocular

Bushnell 8x30 Image View Binocular with 3.2 Megapixel Digital Camera I recently received the Bushnell Image View Binoculars for my birthday and I absolutely love them. I have read several reviews about them in the past and have heard some very negative things about them. There are a few drawbacks but for the most part I cannot say a lot but good about them.

They have a built in Digital Camera which is not the best picture but definitely better than I expected to be for a built in camera. The camera is excellent for taking pictures from a distance. Up close pictures are sometimes distorted, especially if you do not have a very steady hand.

You also do need good lighting for pictures taken. If it is a cloudy day your pictures will not come out so well. The binoculars in my opinion are great. I had another pair of binoculars that were good but the view in these is much better than any I have ever had or used.

These are not just the ordinary pair of binoculars. While all the binoculars in the past have been great for watching sports, concerts, hunting, etc. These binoculars also give you the ability to take pictures of what you are looking at.

In my opinion you cannot beat them for the price you pay for them. I am going to purchase a pair for my uncle for his birthday coming up as he is a bird watcher. I just hope he enjoys them as much as I do mine.

Great LCD screen to view your shots
by: John G.

When I was a kid, I always had those cheap little binoculars which worked relatively well for the types of games my friends and I were playing. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I realized binoculars came with much more powerful settings and had uses other than playing “cops and robbers” with my buddies.

Last year I did a little research and found out that some of the newer models had built-in camera optics, so you could actually snap pictures of what you were seeing. That, to me, was very cool. So I mentioned to my wife that one day I might like to get one of these new binoculars, figuring that I would look around for a pair sometime down the line.

This past Christmas, my dear, sweet wife gave me a pair of Bushnell binoculars that had one of the built-in digital cameras. It is a Bushnell ImageView 8x30mm with 3.2MP camera, model 110833. I hadn’t even gotten around to doing any research. She did it all for me.

So far, I am enjoying my new toy. I have to admit that my Canon digital camera takes better pictures than the built-in camera in the Bushnell, but the binoculars allow me to take photos that would not be possible with the regular digital camera. For example, I am able to get wonderful nature shots of birds and little animals in the woods behind my house, since the Bushnell range is fairly long.

The Bushnell has a 3.2 megapixel built-in camera with 16 MB of internal memory and a slot of an SD card. (I record onto the SD card.) It takes two AAA batteries and features a pop up LCD screen to view your shots. It’s a very comfortable pair of binoculars and is a good fit in my hands and when up to my eyes.

The camera part of the binoculars is optimized to focus on objects at 40 feet or beyond (things that are closer may be fuzzy), so I have to remind myself that this is a pair of binoculars first, and a digital camera second. It did a good job of catching the action at a basketball game, and I’ve been able to get some impromptu shots of squirrels and chipmunks running in my yard.

I’m looking forward to the spring when I can take a drive up to the mountains and test it out more. In the meantime, I’m very happy and I think my wife made a great choice.
