Bushnell Powerview 4x30

Bushnell Powerview 4x30

Bushnell Powerview 4x30

I have owned these binoculars for more than five years and have had excellent results with them. The most notable thing about them is the size. They come with a fabric case and the case has loops to fit on a belt.

This is especially useful for carrying them to sporting events where large bags are prohibited. Since the binoculars fit on the belt I am able to take them to games and shows and enjoy a close up view of the action without having to worry about losing a bulky piece of optics.

The second useful characteristic of these binoculars is the Insta Focus feature. Instead of relying on a rotary focus adjustment, the Insta Focus is a rocker-type adjustment. In order to focus I just press down on either side of the rocker and the lenses move into focus. By not having to turn anything, I can hold the binoculars steady while focusing. I don't get the shake that turning a knob causes and I am able to keep the item that I am focusing on in view the entire time.

Because these are direct view binoculars they are very light weight. They only weigh about a half pound, so I can comfortably wear them around my neck with the supplied cord. When I first got them I was afraid that the neck cord might break or come undone because the only thing attaching it to the body of the binoculars is the melted end of the cord, but after all of this time it has not come apart so it is stronger than it looks.

If you want lightweight easy to carry binoculars primarily for indoor and close range viewing I highly recommend the Bushnell Powerview 4x30.
