Bushnell Powerview 7-15x25

by Adam
(Schertz, TX)

I purchased a set of Bushnell Powerview 7-15x25 binoculars a couple of years a go at a big box store.

I know these are not high quality binoculars a lot of people go for but these more than do the job for light viewing needs.

I personally mostly use theses glasses at shooting ranges. Most ranges do not let you change your own target anymore and trying to see your grouping with aging eyes isn't easy. These fit the bill fantastically plus they are small and compact enough to fit in my range bag.

I also take these glasses when I go hiking. Larger binoculars may give you better light, but the added weight to your pack is easily felt. These are quite light and I usually carry them in an external pocket that I can easily reach.

Now onto the not so good.

The eyepieces are small and I can't use them why wearing glasses. I either have to take my glasses off or only use one eye. The placement of the zoom makes it impossible to use while looking through them. You have to stop, remove the glasses from your eyes, move the zoom, then try to reacquire your target. My friend had much more expensive zoom binoculars that had the zoom within easy reach of the fingers while being held. Not by the eyepiece like these. Usually I default to a certain zoom level and stay with that for the rest of the time I'm using them. Zooming is to much of a pain.

I recommend these binoculars for people on a budget, or are wanting a small zoom binocular. I am happy with the overall quality and would buy them again if anything happened to this pair. I have already bought the same model for my friends when they envied mine.

Overall, I'd give them a good 3.5-4 out of 5
