Canon Binoculars 10 x 30 IS

by Chris
(United States)

Best binoculars I've ever owned!

I love my Canon 10x30 IS. They're the best pair of binoculars I've ever owned, and they aren't even that expensive.

I live at the beach, and winds are pretty much constant. When I'm looking at things out in the distance, it used to be hard to see them without a huge amount of jitter in the image.

With the image stabilization in the Canons, though, I don't have anything to worry about because the image is actively stabilized. A few weeks ago, someone was airlifted to the hospital, and the chopper came down across the lagoon from where I lived.

Wanting to see what was going on, I got out by Canons, and I could see everything going on, probably a good quarter to a half mile away. (The guy was fine, by the way).

These binoculars also have a spectacular wide area of view. I used to have a no-name brand set, and I was always panning around to try and find the object I had gotten the binoculars out for, but with the Canons, there's a lot less. I simply find the object I'm looking for, press the image stabilization button, and it's as if I was right next to it.

Earlier this year, I was taking a trip by boat down the intercoastal waterway to Atlantic City, and I couldn't see some markers. I had brought the Canons along, to try them out, and I learned how truly easy to use they were. I just aimed at what I thought was the next buoy, pressed the stabilization button, and I could see the number clear as anything.

In short, they're five-star binoculars at a great price.
