Because this model is also enhanced with image stabilization technology, the large magnification is put to good use. The image is steady and clear, steadying with a push of a button, ideal for watching sports events, birding,or planespotting.

Although water-resistant, they are not waterproof, and their field of view can become too narrow over longer distances.

Their rather outdated rubber cap system has also received criticism, and their brightness and resolution are not considered as good as more expensive makes.

Canon binoculars purchase - waterproof

For the price, these binoculars give great performance, are waterproof, with a body strongly built for protection - perfect for taking on about trip.

The image seen through them is clear and sharp, the contrast good, and the 8x32has a socket which enables them to be mounted on a tripod, should you so wish.

On the negative side, the field of view is far from perfect, and they're not ideal for using in low light.

The lens caps are not particularly popular and, due to the small exit pupil, the image can be dimmer than when using other similar models.

Overall, Canon binoculars are more affordable than other brands, offer great performance for the price, and are good value-for-money in spite of a few flaws.
