Leupold Acadia

by A Clarke
(Ontario, Canada)

I purchased the Leupold Acadia binoculars because I was in search of a reasonably priced pair of binoculars and they were recommended by the sales clerk at the outdoors store I was shopping at.

I only wanted binoculars for occasional use out hunting so I didn’t want to have to re-mortgage the house to buy a pair! These binoculars came to around $150; which was the sale price at the time.

I’ve had this pair for almost two years now and can’t say enough about them! My vision is always clear even when the weather is humid or raining. Leupold claims that they are weather proof and that they are!

Something I was concerned about when I began my search for binoculars was the weight of them. Due to the fact that I intended on using them for hunting, it meant that I would have them hanging around my neck for extended periods of time. These binoculars are not overly heavy and do not cause me any discomfort at all.

When I purchased my Leupolds the clerk told me that they automatically come guaranteed for life! I think this is such an excellent selling feature for these binoculars. My last pair, which were nothing to compare to really, were not as weather proof as I thought and after spending a day out in some rainy weather I was very disappointed after noticing that they developed a lot of moisture between the lenses and from that day forward were foggy. I feel much better putting my binoculars to good use with the knowledge that if something like this ever happened to them I would be covered!

The wheel for adjusting the focus of these binoculars is centrally located and very easy to reach without straining my fingers. This is especially appealing because I often use this pair in colder weather conditions when my hands are already feeling cramped up!
