Nikon 10x50 CF Action EX

Nikon 10x50 CF Action EX With Case These are fantastic. Really. The main place I take these (and the reason I bought them in the first place) is hiking and camping.

My concerns were water resistance, cold, and weight- I try to keep my pack as light as possible, as most of my camping is back country. These were worth every penny- I believe I bought them on sale for a hair under 180.00 which seems to be about 5-10% lower than other places I have seen them.

The case is a little lacking, but good enough- generally the companies seem to assume that anyone seriously considering bopping the binoculars around in their pack will be willing to buy another one. Still would have been nice to get a better one.

They are a comfortable weight for my hands, but more importantly they feel balanced- also the neoprene (I think that’s what it is) on them keeps my hands from slipping, which is useful when it is raining and because I have sweaty hands. They don’t fog easily- has never been a problem yet.

Eyepiece is easily adjusted but stays where you put it- important because I usually share field glasses with at least one other person.

I don’t know much about optics, but the vision is even over the whole field, and the field of view is larger than many other pairs I have had in the past. Awesome and I’d buy them again.

Long distance range is amazing
by: Anonymous

I bought a pair of these binoculars for my mom, who is an avid bird watcher, last year for Christmas. She has loved them so much that she bought the same pair for me this Christmas!

We have both really enjoyed these binoculars. The clarity of the view is excellent both up close (in by backyard) and at long range (far across the valley). The long-distance range is pretty amazing, and the clarity at long range is also impressive, though I sometimes have to prop my arms on a tree branch to stabilize the view.

We go out hiking or birding in a lot of rainy weather, and we have never had a problem with water getting into the binoculars or with the lenses fogging up. And they do let in quite a bit of light to allow you to see when there is not much light available (like in the very early morning). And the material on the outside makes them really easy to hang on to in bad weather.

These binoculars are a good size—a little on the large side, but not too bad. They are comfortable to hold and to look through. I wear glasses and don’t have any problem using these with them.

The only thing that I did not love about these binoculars was the neck strap. I bought a different one to replace the one that had been included. It helps distribute the weight of the binoculars so they do not seem as heavy.

These are a GREAT buy for the price!!
