Nikon 8x40mm Action Binocular

by Kathy
(Wisconsin)

We purchased these binoculars from Walmart. The features that led to this choice included that they are metal and they are rated to be compatible with eye glasses.

The size is not too bulky to be inconvenient when hiking or packing in a duffel bag or back pack.

These binoculars are not high end but do a surprisingly good job and have held up well over several trips and rough treatment. They seem to be a good starter pair for active people who may use them a couple of times a year. It is nice to have a set of binoculars to have handy to look at various birds and wildlife in the yard. These are perfectly usable for this type of activity.

They are easy to set and maintain the vision setting . The clarity has been surprisingly good quality. overall, these binoculars have provided the expected quality and use for the price.

If someone is a serious bird watcher or outdoors person, they may want to consider a more expensive pair that gives longer distance however, for the casual user this pair is inexpensive and rugged enough not to worry about using in a lot of situations.
