Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42 binoculars

by MIKE STACK
(PALOS HILLS, IL, USA)

The Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42 binoculars are in my opinion an excellent choice for users in a variety of different areas.

They can be used for bird watching, hunting and even basic astronomy. There are several reasons I think this statement is valid.

The optical quality of these binoculars is functionally as good as that of the top of the line binoculars that sell for much more money. In terms of value for the amount of money spent you will not do better than this set of binoculars. The only difference between these binoculars and the truly luxury variety lies in the smaller less important details. The nuts and bolt requirements of this set of binoculars is truly top of the line.

This model offers users 19.6 millimeters of eye relief. This is an important factor for users with eyeglasses. You will be able to comfortable use this product with your glasses. The field of view is excellent, much greater than other binoculars in its class.

The Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42 binoculars weigh just under two pounds which makes them easy to carry and will not tire you out when looking through them for extended periods of time. A couple additional features are that these binoculars are both waterproof and fog proof.

They come with a twenty five year warranty that is not transferable. They also include a no fault repair provision for a flat ten dollar fee.
If bang for your buck is your guideline, this is the right set of binoculars for your requirements.

Image is as clear as day
by: Brett

I received this pair of binoculars as a Christmas gift, and I couldn't be more happier. I am an outdoor enthusiast, and I have been to a ton of national parks in the United States, and this pair of binoculars has been beside every time.

The most recent trip I took them on was a rafting trip through the Grand Canyon, and I was able to see details and animals that nobody else on the trip could see. It was a white water rafting trip, and I got soaked, along with my binoculars more times than I can count, but they still worked perfectly time and time again. The image is clear as day! I was able to spot and follow birds in flight with ease because the range of view is incredible with them.

Another advantage of these is that they aren't too bulky and huge, and yet they aren't too small either. They pack nicely, but don't feel like they are going to break when you handle them.
These binoculars aren't only fantastic for nature lovers either. The work great for outdoor sporting events like football games. The clarity that the lens give you is perfect and I was able to follow multiple games perfectly.

One of the features that I love most about this particular pair, compared to others that I have owned and used in the past, is that they work great with eyeglasses. In fact, they were designed to be able to work with glasses. I can't tell you how annoying it used to be to try to use a pair of binoculars with eyeglasses! With glasses wearers in mind, these came about and they are perfect.

All in all a great pair of binoculars for the the money.

Great for birdwatching
by: T

I got these first as a present, I am into outdoor photography, so birds, trees, landscapes etc so it was a good addition, My favorite actually. I have a Nikon Camera and so are my binoculars.

Nikon Monarch are rooftop prism binoculars, which is the best type. First using them I was amazed with the clarity, great optical quality and sharpness. If you are into Birding, along with watching other animals These are EXCELLENT. They are waterproof, Ive tested by accident of course, and also don't fog up. They have a good range of view, at I believe 300 ft or so, and a 8 foot focus. These binoculars are quite rugged, and great in low light situations. The eye cups are easy to take off and to clean being one of the less expensive pairs of binoculars, they are just as good as the higher priced ones. Light weight as well. There is a 25 year no fault Warranty which always comes in handy, well at least for me.

Only downfall for me is, The eye cups aren't the most comfortable in my opinion and the lens caps aren't in a very convenient place and quite flimsy, after about 3 weeks of use they broke off not sure if that has been updated or not.

Overall I highly recommend them, in there price range they are the best pair of binoculars Ive had, Its a smart buy, and you would be very impressed with the quality and feel of them. I guarantee that, I give them a 4 out of 5 in rating. The good by far outweighs the bad.
