Nikon ProStaff ATB Binoculars 10X25 (waterproof)

by Belinda
(NZ)

Having used a Nikon camera before, when I decided to purchase a pair of bird watching binoculars, I knew which brand I would probably aim for.

After researching for my purchase online, I was able to narrow down my choice to the Nikon ProStaff ATB Binoculars in the 10X25 size.

Although I felt that the price was a bit more than I would have liked to spend, I have to admit that I have not been disappointed! After purchasing these binoculars, I was finally able to realise just why people do invest so much into their bird watching. The clarity of the images is most impressive, and the actual frame itself is very small and portable, which makes them an excellent choice for someone like me (who also enjoys tramping and hiking).

As a person that doesn’t know a lot about the technicality of the actual lens and such, I can tell that I have bought quality – one of my favourite features being the fact that it is totally waterproof. Also, suffering from astigmatism, the ability to manually adjust the setting of each lens is a wonderful feature, and really makes the higher price tag more worthwhile.

The other members of my club in Karori are all hoping to purchase this same model – a testament to its ease of use and good construction. For about $200 NZD, it is a dearer option, but if you are as dedicated to your birding as I am, you will not regret your purchase
